Our little Maria doesn't say many words yet, but what she does say is priceless...
Tonight as I am putting her in her highchair with a bowl of little hot dog pieces (you noticed I said, "little", I AM the mother of eight children ya know , no choking on my watch please)...ok, I digress
Anyway, as I am putting her in her chair...Daisy, the mutt is hovering very closely to the chair, and Maria is ever so generously sharing her meal. I can't stand for that, sooo with a slight tap of my heel, I let the dog know that she is indeed a DOG and not a human and to get outta here!
As I turn back to finish the meal prep for the other kiddos, here is what I hear:
"Mere, Dee Dee"...and of course, Daisy is cautiously meandering back to her rightful place beside the highchair, as Maria is tossing a piece of her dinner.
As I move toward them both, Maria says, "UH-OH DeeDee, Mama"
You're darn right, it's mama, and you better go eat your own kibbles, DOG!
How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers. Mother Teresa
