Gooood Dog! by Stan

Just before I left for work this morning, I looked at my dog, Daisy, and said, "Man, what a life! You get to lay around all day, get fed, no responsibilities ... just don't let your stomach get you in trouble." But what can we really learn from dogs?

Love the Master Unconditionally...
A dog absolutely loves his master. He comes running as soon as he hears the master's voice. He leaps all over the master when he comes home and whimpers when he goes away. He follows the master anywhere he can - never wanting to leave him. He would give his life for his master. Shouldn't we love God with the same intensity?

Be Faithful in Good Times and Bad...
A dog will stay with their master despite storms, floods, fires, earthquakes, and even the master's death. They unconditionally trust their master. What's more impressive is the dogs staying faithful in good times. Mark Twain once said, "If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. That is the principal difference between a dog and a man." At the slightest misfortune, we conclude God doesn't care; when things go well, we forget Him... don't need Him?

The Master's Love...
He loves us individually. There's an old saying that goes something like this, "There's only one best dog in the world, and every little boy or girl has him." I know that even if I were the only person on this planet, He would've done it all for me.

People may be afraid if challenged to be a saint like Mother Theresa... "I can't do that!" But anybody can be a good dog!

I know... that wacky stuff that goes on inside my brain. I can't help it.
