Bedtime Conversations

I have found that kids have the most profound things going on in their little heads, and when you sit with them in the quiet long enough, they just might share it with you. At bedtime this evening Sophia and I had one of those interesting conversations...

Sophia:" Mom, can I see your belly button"

Me "Uhmm, I guess so , why?'

Sophia "To see if there's another baby in there, I would like one"

Me (trying to break it to her gently) "Umm, there's no baby in there right now honey, but we have Maria and she's still a baby :o) "

Sophia, "Well, tell dad to go to the baby store, he knows where it is...it's like the pet store"

Me "Well, ummm, sweetie, God gives us the baby"

Sophia, " OK then can we have a teeeny little pig instead, that would be great too!"

ok, maybe not so profound, but definitely a lot of stuff going on in that little bean of hers.
